My Fav '09 Emmy Looks

I'm home to celebrate my Grandma's 70th birthday with my family this weekend, and it's been great seeing everyone and all of our pups (and my brother's cat...who absolutely hates me and little Coop. Oh well.) More on that later.

While it's still fresh in my brain, I wanted to post some favorite looks from the Emmy's...the fashion is (obviously) the best part, and it was fun to watch and swoon with my Mom and Grandma. So agree or disagree, here goes:

Everything about her look is absolutely stunning. She always looks super-classy, but she really stepped it up a notch without overdoing it in her Marchesa.

She is so gorgeous. I love the black accents on her J. Mendel with her dark hair. I always did think she was a tad too cool for Steve Sanders.

Ok, I've never been a huge fan of JLH, but I will admit that she is starting to seem a lot more normal to me and she really did look beautiful in this dress. I LOVED her hair. (Dress: Max Azria)

I love everything about this...

Oh, Oscar De La Renta...if I were famous and had some sort of special occasion to attend...I would be wearing this dress in 2 seconds. The color (my fav), the ruffles (adorbs), the shirred bodice (so flattering). LOVE.

A little laugh

I was talking to my cousin Kelli today during a break at the Salty Not Sweet craft show and I asked her if she knows the name of our President. She responded "Obama" and I then asked if she knew the name of our VP. She wanted a hint, so I said "His first name is Joe."

Her response?

"JONAS?"

Yes, Joe Jonas.

Maybe it was from sleepiness, but I laughed for a good 5 minutes. :)
